900 block of Town Center Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported her purse was stolen from the back of a chair at a business. She stated her bank informed her that her credit cards had been used at stores in the Glendale Galleria. The theft occurred between 12:16 p.m. and 12:40 p.m.
April 26
4300 block of Beulah Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, deputies responded to the location concerning a burglary. Deputies found a bedroom window had been smashed and the master bedroom ransacked. An informant stated that she was at the home to clean the residence. When she entered the residence she heard footsteps coming from the second floor. She shouted the resident’s name, thinking they were home, and heard a loud bang. She assumed the noise came from the home’s dog knocking something over. She began to clean the house but when she entered the bedroom and noticed the shattered glass and ransacked room. It appears the surviellance cameras were offline for an unknown reason. A firearm was reported stolen. The burglary occurred at 12:20 p.m.
April 24
1000 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported putting her purse on the floor of a restaurant during lunch. By the end of the lunch she noticed her wallet was stolen from inside her purse. Her friend who she was having lunch with also discovered that her wallet was stolen from her purse as well. Surveillance footage revealed a male and female walking around the restaurant, but not purchasing anything. At one point the suspects bent down near the victims’ table, apparently took the wallets and then left the locations. The thefts occurred between 12:30 p.m. – 12:55 p.m.
600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a woman reported while she was shopping a man described as Hispanic, thin build wearing black clothing and a brown hat, approached her. The man/Suspect 1 attempted to engage her in conversation. She was suspicious of this interaction and immediately searched her purse for her wallet, which was still in place. She then left the store. When she arrived home she noticed her phone was missing from her purse. She went back to the store and contacted the loss prevention representative. She was told that while she was approached Suspect 1, another man, Suspect 2, walked behind her, reached into her purse and stole her phone. The second suspect was described as a male Hispanic, thin build wearing dark clothing and a dark hat. The theft occurred at 12:42 p.m.
