The 1600 block of Broadview Drive was closed on Tuesday afternoon as law enforcement investigated a possible explosive device that had been found in a home. The Los Angeles Country Sheriff Department (LASD) Bomb Squad responded. Evacuations were made in the area as the investigation continued.

The LASD Bomb Squad retrieved the explosive device, inspected it and deemed it inert. It [did] not pose a danger and the evacuation was lifted, according to  a GPD spokesman.
