On Aug. 13 the neighborhood in the 3500 block of Fairchild Street saw Glendale police activity that included a barricade situation.

“The individual was wanted for assault charges among other cases in

Glendale,” according to a GPD spokesman.

When GPD officers attempted to contact the individual, he barricaded himself inside a home and hid.

“Eventually officers were able to gain entry and conduct a search, which led to him surrendering and being arrested,” according to GPD.

The house in which the man barricaded himself was known to him.
