La Cañada Presbyterian Church’s Parent Ed program is now registering for the popular Parent Express classes The Art of Fatherhood, led by Matt Allen, David Lamb, Ron Chiu and Robert Cha and The Art of Marriage led by Teresa Chiu.
The Art of Fatherhood will meet on Wednesday nights beginning Sept. 4 from 7-8:30 p.m. with an optional dinner of pizza and beer at 6:15 p.m. Class will meet at a private residence in La Cañada. In this session, participants will be diving into Jonathan Haidt’s new book “The Anxious Generation” and tackling how technology impacts families. Together, participants will explore practical advice on how to manage the challenges related to technology that contribute to strained relationships, anxiety, depression and addiction. Class facilitators have lined up speakers including LCPC pastor of Intercultural Ministries Paul Song and Dr. Broderick Leaks, an associate professor of psychiatry and faculty in residence at USC.
The Art of Marriage will meet on Sunday nights beginning Oct. 6 from 4:30-6 p.m. at La Cañada Presbyterian Church. Led by life and relationship coach Teresa Chiu, The Art of Marriage is a fun and educational four-week coaching group for couples looking to deepen their relationships. Participants will leave with new knowledge, tools and strategies to deepen their connection, communication and intimacy. This class provides a safe and supportive space for singles and couples on this journey to build healthy and fulfilling relationships, authentic connection with other couples, support and education.
In its 46th year of helping families thrive, LCPC Parent Ed offers classes for parents and grandparents of babies to young adults. LCPC Parent Ed offers multiple classes including online options and three evening Parent Express classes. Its reputable program provides quality education, friendships and community.
