MVCC September Recap & August Preview

The Montrose Chamber of Commerce (MVCC) has had another busy and exciting month as we continue our preparations for Oktoberfest and celebrate a successful ribbon cutting for one of our newest local businesses. We are thrilled to share all the latest happenings with you!

We kicked off the month with a BBQ dine-out event with Gina Feeds Catering & Market, and it was a huge hit! The food was incredible and this event not only brought our community together but also supported local businesses, and we look forward to partnering with Gina Feeds again in the future.

Next, we celebrated at our Hallo-Fest mixer at Ocean View Bar and Grill where we teamed up with Nicole Schlueter (Think Real Estate) and Carlo Gasper (Rocket Mortgage) to throw a fun and festive Halloween-themed event. It was a night filled with laughter, networking and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who came out and made this event such a blast!

On Sept. 19, we hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Sonia’z Boutique and it was a tremendous success! Guests enjoyed a delicious catered lunch as they explored the beautifully designed boutique, which offers a wide selection of items, from children’s clothing to women’s lingerie. One of the unique features of Sonia’z Boutique is that it stays open late, making it convenient for those who work long hours to shop for themselves or pick up gifts. We’re excited to see how Sonia’z Boutique will continue to thrive and contribute to our local business scene.

Meanwhile, this year’s Oktoberfest will feature rides and games spread across all three blocks, ensuring plenty of fun for everyone. In addition to the entertainment, we’re also offering Oktoberfest-branded merchandise, which is now available for purchase online. Show your festival spirit with our bucket hats, priced at $10, or grab a memorable Oktoberfest T-shirt for $25.

The MVCC is dedicated to bringing our community together through these events, and we’re grateful for the ongoing support. As we look forward to Oktoberfest, we hope to see you all there enjoying the fun, food and festivities that make this event such a beloved tradition.
