A Costa Mesa man has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend and then leaving her body in a trashcan.
Daniel Allen Aldrich, 49, of Costa Mesa, has been charged with one felony count of murder and one felony enhancement of the personal use of a weapon in the death of Julie Anne Sanetra, 38, whose body was found by landscapers hired to mow the property’s lawn.
The murder allegedly occurred on Oct. 20 after a night of drinking and arguing between the couple. Allegedly after disposing of the body the suspect drove to a family home in North Glendale where he was arrested by Costa Mesa police officers.
Aldrich faces a maximum sentence of 26 years to life if convicted on all charges. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Nov. 19 at the Stephen K. Tamura Justice Center in Westminster in Dept. W12. He is currently being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
