Looks Forward to Implementation of WSGVAP

Thank you [CV Weekly] for covering the county board approval of the West San Gabriel [Valley] Area Plan in the Dec. 12 paper. The article does a great job explaining some zoning aspects while also touching on the Area Plan’s intention to increase walkability, wildlife conservation and support for small businesses. 

As a mom and community resident who would like to see a more vibrant La Crescenta-Montrose, I am excited to see the Area Plan’s passage. I can imagine how awesome it would be for this area to progress in a way where we can run basic errands without relying on a car, where we can open up our community gem – Rosemont Preserve – to be more accessible, and where we can make our downtown more attractive so that we can access healthy restaurants, gathering spaces and other small businesses right where we live. I look forward to see how we can all work together to make our community more dynamic and vibrant.
