Dec. 21

2400 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, a woman left her home briefly and when she returned she found the front door of her home had its interior door chain attached. She found this unusual because no one was home. She walked to the side of the apartment to enter her residence through the side balcony glass slide door. She witnessed two males wearing dark hoodies jumping the fence near her balcony. The suspects entered a white SUV and drove away. The women entered her home and found rooms had been ransacked and items had been stolen. 

The burglary occurred between 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. 

Dec. 20

3100 block of Stevens Street in La Crescenta, a tailgate was stolen from a Nissan Frontier truck overnight. 

4000 block of Rockland Place in La Cañada Flintridge, a tailgate was stolen from a Toyota Tacoma truck that was parked on the street overnight. 

Dec. 18

5400 block of Arroyo Summit Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, the kitchen door at a home was found smashed inward and the bottom four glass panels and panes were all shattered. Upstair rooms had been ransacked and numerous items were stolen between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Dec. 17

4900 block of Hillard Avenue in La Cañada Flintridge, a person came into the lobby of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station and reported he had been contacted by his bank concerning a check that had been posted to his account. He logged onto his bank account and found a fraudulent check written to a person he did not know in an amount that he did not write. He stated he usually writes checks to his employees and then hands those checks directly to them. He was not sure how this fraudulent check was created. 

The report came to the station at noon.
