This Saturday, the sixth annual Hometown Country Fair is coming to La Crescenta. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Crescenta Valley Park will be the site of numerous attractions, including carnival rides, a classic car show, a dog parade (anyone’s dog is welcome), arts and crafts booths and exhibits, a silent auction, live performances, food booths and more.

Co-sponsored with L.A. County Parks and Recreation and about 30 other businesses throughout La Crescenta, Glendale and Los Angeles, the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce, who put together such events as the Taste of the Foothills, is behind the fair.

CV Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Julia Rabago expanded on the attractions, “We will have full carnival rides, over 20 classic cars in the car show, a silent auction with over $3,000 worth of items and probably around 50 arts and crafts exhibits. We’ll have live entertainment from CV [High School] Jazz Band and the St. Francis drumline.”

As with the Taste of the Foothills, the Hometown Country Fair will feature a variety of food choices.

Rabago listed off the available fare at the fair.

“There will be hamburgers, hot dogs, funnel cakes, deep fried Snickers, Italian Ice.”

On top of all this, admission to the fair is free. The only other thing that needs to be free is time and the fair should draw quite a crowd.
