On April 16, the free admission Glendale Noon Concerts will feature violinist Philip Vaiman, saxophonist Chika Inoue and pianist Brendan White performing W.A. Mozart’s “Sinfonia Concertante in E flat major” transcribed for violin and alto saxophone.
Originally composed in 1779 for violin, viola and orchestra, Sinfonia Concertante has remained one of the most cherished works in classical music. Now, nearly 250 years later, Vaiman and Inoue have reimagined this masterpiece for violin and alto saxophone, unveiling new sonic dimensions through their exciting arrangement.
The free admission Glendale Noon Concerts series performs at the sanctuary of Glendale City Church, 610 E. California Ave. in Glendale.
