Here comes Father’s Day, time to get a nice gift for dear old Dad. It seems women are so easy to shop for. There’s so much we like and use, from cosmetics to jewelry. Men however are a different story. Most of them don’t like to shop and never seem to “need” anything … at least the one I know.
When it’s time to get my husband a gift the first thing I go to is a nice T-shirt. They are easy to buy, fun to pick out, and are always appreciated.
Enter Landry’s. They have whole walls full of T-shirts. Their most popular line is “Life Is Good.” These whimsical T-shirts have a good message, are well made and are very affordable with most in the $20-$30 range. You are bound to find one or more that are perfect for Dad.
Another popular company is “Old Guys Rule.” These tees have the “Old Guys Rule” logo enhanced with graphics like American flags, palm trees and John Wayne – manly and fun. If your guy is into sports and golfing you will find a vast selection of polos, baseball caps and sporting equipment, a.k.a. one stop Father’s day shopping.
Landry’s owner Paul Roberts has lived in La Crescenta all of his life and started working at Landry’s in 1973. His Dad was Frank Roberts, a Montrose legend. Paul said he feels like he has lived through three generations of “Old Guys Rule” in his years at Landry’s.
In addition to all of the tees and sporting goods, Landry’s does a robust business in team outfitting, providing all of the needs for football, baseball and basketball teams in the area. They can put your team’s logo on just about anything.
So do stop in. Landry’s is located at 2271 Honolulu Ave. and they are open six days a week, Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. -5 p.m.
See you in Montrose!
