Senior Health Lecture Series
Mountview Retirement Community and Glendale Adventist Medical Center present a free lecture on men’s health. The event is part of their Senior Health Lecture Series. It will be held on June 30 at 1 p.m. at the Mountview Retirement Community, 2640 Honolulu Ave. in Montrose.


Campgrounds Subject
of Study

The city of Glendale is presenting the results of a campground planning study on Thursday, July 7 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Deukmejian Wilderness Park. The study focuses on overnight youth campgrounds and the presentation includes results of visits to dozens of sites and comments collected from two community meetings.

CV Arts council hosting shakespeare in the park

The Crescenta Valley Arts Council is sponsoring its fourth year of Shakespeare in the Park featuring “King Lear” on Friday, July 8 at 7 p.m at Two Strike Park in La Crescenta.
“King Lear” is a production of Shakespeare by the Sea.
There is no charge to attend.

FOOTHILL MWD CONTINUES CONSERVATION REBATES
Foothill Municipal Water District (FMWD) will continue to provide rebates for high efficiency toilets, turf removal and rain barrels as part of an effort to be more independent of imported water supplies.
The program that began July 1, 2010 with over $50,000 provided in rebates will reopen July 1, 2011. Program dollars are limited. Once the money runs out for the year, the program will be suspended.
The following rebates are being offered to customers within the service area: residential high efficiency toilets, turf removal program, rain barrels, high efficiency clothes washers, weather-based irrigation controller and rotating sprinkler nozzles.
