A series of cross country races have been approved by the Los Angeles County of Parks and Recreation.

“These races are open to everyone,” said Mark Evans, Crescenta Valley High School track coach.

The first race will be on July 20, the second on Aug. 3 and the final race will be run on Aug. 17. All races will start at 6 p.m. with a 1.5-mile race and followed by a full three-mile race at 6:30 p.m.

The fee is $5 and registration begins at 5 p.m. on the day of the event. All ages are welcome and encouraged to run. Everyone will be timed.

All races will be at Crescenta Valley Park on the CVHS Cross Country Course. The starting line is near the baseball fields at New York and Honolulu avenues.
