300 Knight Way in La Cañada Flintridge, a witness reported seeing a white Ford Windstar van stopped along the street near a parked vehicle. The passenger side door of the Windstar was open and a man, wearing a dark hoodie, was reaching into the parked car through a broken side window. The man was apparently startled by the witness and got back into the van and the driver, no description, fled the scene.
The owner of the parked vehicle found that a global positioning system had been stolen. The incident occurred at 3:20 a.m.

2400 block of Montrose Avenue in Montrose, a vehicle was vandalized with scratches on all areas of the body of the car overnight.
July 7
400 block of Dover Road in La Cañada, a glass window was smashed at a home. Nothing was reported missing between 8 a.m. and 1:36 p.m.
July 6
2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a woman reported her cellphone was stolen from the purse of a shopper at Ralphs Market. The woman reportedly left her purse in the cart while she stepped away to speak to a store employee. When she returned she discovered her phone was missing at 12 p.m.
