1300 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2002 Toyota Sequoia as it was parked in a city owned parking lot between 8 a.m. and noon.
1900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2004 Toyota Tacoma that was parked on the south side of Foothill Boulevard near the Crescenta Cañada YMCA parking lot entrance between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.
July 23
La Crescenta Avenue and Community Avenue in La Crescenta, a 55-year-old Montrose man was cited for driving on a suspended license at 9:30 p.m.
Foothill Boulevard and Pennsylvania Avenue in La Crescenta, a 56-year-old Glendale man was cited for driving on a suspended license at 8 p.m.
Ocean View Boulevard and Foothill (210) freeway in La Crescenta, a 42-year-old La Cañada man was cited for driving on a suspended license at 10:09 a.m.
July 22
4800 block of Oak Grove Avenue in Pasadena, deputies responded to a call concerning a possible drunk driver. When the
deputy arrived they found a 30-year-old Los Angeles man sitting on the curb near the Jet Propulsion Laboratory guard shack. According to witnesses, a noise was heard outside the shack. They saw a black vehicle approaching them with its lights off. They allegedly saw the L.A. man was driving the vehicle. They also noticed the front passenger side tire was missing and the man was driving on the rim of the wheel. The driver stopped at the guard shack. One of the witnesses approached the vehicle and the driver reportedly had a blank stare. When asked where he was going, the man allegedly said “Panorama City, Maryland.”
When asked how long his tire had been damaged, he said, “I’ve been driving on it for months.” The witness asked the driver to exit the vehicle and sit on the curb and he complied. The deputy arrived and after an investigation arrested him for driving under the influence. The incident occurred at 12:01 a.m.
5800 block of Angeles Crest Highway, La Cañada, about 100 to 200 pounds of copper metal was stolen from a recycle bin at the Southern California Edison Gould Station. The incident occurred something between July 15 and 18.
