Members of the Young Republicans of La Cañada Flintridge, led by its president Alexander Keledjian, will lead the community in a memorial to the victims of Sept. 11, 2001. The memorial will be held in the courtyard of La Cañada Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11.

This special event is being hosted by La Cañada Presbyterian Church and will include clergy from all of the religious congregations in the city, as well as dignitaries, city and school officials and a special keynote speaker. As the event is non-partisan, non-political, and ecumenical, it will include young people from the local schools and different political viewpoints.

Coordinating the ecumenical memorial event is Betty Monteleone, the youth director for the Republican organization. The program will cap off a weekend of city-wide events tied to the 9-10-11 zip code celebration being sponsored by the city and the Chamber of Commerce.
