ART, MUSIC, KIDS CREATE FAMILY FUN AT ARTWALK
Recognized as one of the largest open-air fine art events in the foothills, the Montrose Art Walk returns on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Montrose Artwalk transforms the 2300 and 2400 blocks of Honolulu Avenue and features hundreds of art pieces from more than 30 artists.
Local art organizations will team up to be a part of KidsCreate, a free family friendly event that offers opportunities for kids of all ages to experience their own creative potential in the arts.
The Artwalk and sale is a free event.

FUNDRAISER TO BENEFIT SUSAN G. KOMEN
The Montrose Pampered Chef independent consultants and The Pilates Studio are teaming up to help raise money for the Susan G. Komen 60 Miles in 3-Days walk. The fundraising event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the La Crescenta Woman’s Club.
Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase Pampered Chef items, take advantage of 10-minute chair massages from Spa Pura and 10-minute reflexology sessions throughout the day. There will also be a DJ, food, a photo booth plus more. There will also be a raffle.
All proceeds from the raffle, all tips from the massages and reflexology sessions, and 15% of the Pampered Chef sales will benefit the Komen for a Cure Foundation and the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund. The goal is to raise $5,000 for the walk.
All are encouraged to attend.

WINE & FOOD TASTING HOSTED BY KIWANIS
The Kiwanis Club of La Cañada is hosting its annual Wine & Gourmet Food Tasting event on Sunday, Sept. 25 at Memorial Park in La Cañada Flintridge. Food and wine tasting is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. A live auction is from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. This year, live music will be provided by Padres Trail. More than 25 restaurants, caterers and food specialty shops will serve tastes of their delicious cuisine along with wine purveyors pouring exceptional wines from around the world.

GLENDALE HISTORICAL SOCIETY HOLDING FALL HOME TOUR
The Glendale Historical Society hosts a fall home tour entitled, Glendale Gems: Historic Homes of the Jewel City on Sunday, Oct. 2.
This year’s home tour will celebrate the variety of architecturally significant homes listed by the City of Glendale on the local Register of Historic Resources.
The homes will be open for docent-led tours from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased online in advance for $30 per person, $20 for TGHS members, at www.glendalehistorical.org or by calling (818) 242-7447. Pre-paid tickets will not be mailed, but can be picked up on the day of the tour at the historic Brand Library, located in Brand Park at 1601 Mountain St. in Glendale.
Tickets will also be available for sale on the day of the tour starting at 10:30 a.m. for $35, $25 for TGHS members, at the Brand Library.

IBMA Bluegrass Fiddler of the Year Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper will make its only So Cal appearance of the year at the Ford Amphitheatre on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 7 p.m.
