In-N-Out Truck to Visit First Baptist Church at La Crescenta
First Baptist Church at La Crescenta is inviting the community to join them for a great lunch of California classic – In-N-Out burgers. The In-N-Out truck will be serving their famous hamburgers from 12:15 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25. This is the last of several community services that the church has held during the month of September. The community is also invited to join the church for a time of inspirational worship at 10:45 a.m. The church’s praise band will lead the congregation in a dynamic mixture of contemporary and traditional worship. There is nursery care for the infants and church time for older children through sixth grade.

Two other churches on campus will be participating in this Fellowship event this Sunday, Christ Armenian Church and New Life Church. Christian Armenian Church has its worship at 2 p.m.; the service is presented in Armenian. New Life Church is a young Korean church that meets in the “Ark” at 11 a.m. and holds its service in English.

All three churches meet on the First Baptist Church campus at 4441 La Crescenta Ave in La Crescenta.

KidUnique Coming to La Can Pres
On Friday, Sept. 23, La Cañada Presbyterian Church will be hosting a KidUnique workshop presented by nationally acclaimed speaker and author Dan Webster. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with an optional dinner and social hour. At 7 p.m., the KidUnique workshop will begin, followed by a book-signing from 8:30 to 9 p.m.

Each year, Webster speaks to thousands of parents, teachers and youth workers across the country, equipping them to powerfully impact kids. Using the four windows through which we see kids (observation, exploration, affirmation, and revelation) Webster teaches adults to help kids overcome the confusion that often comes from too many choices in life but little knowledge of who they truly are.

Workshop admission is $5 per person. A taco bar dinner provided by Los Gringos Locos costs $10 for adults and $5 for kids with a $30 cap per family. Childcare is $5/family. Childcare RSVP required by Sept.16.

For info, workshop, dinner tickets and childcare reservations, contact Heather Henry at heather@lacanadapc.org or (818) 790-6708 ext 252, or go to www.lacanadapc.org/kidunique.

The KidUnique workshop will be held in the Family Life Building of La Cañada Presbyterian Church, 626 Foothill Blvd., La Cañada.
