Dennis Prager to Speak at YMCA Community Prayer Breakfast

The YMCA of the Foothills will host the 18th Community Prayer Breakfast on Thursday, Nov. 3 at 7 a.m. at the Crescenta-Cañada Family YMCA. This year’s keynote speaker is La Cañada resident, radio talk show host, columnist, author and according to Toastmasters, “One of America’s five best speakers” Dennis Prager. Prager joins a special group of prayer breakfast speakers including John Wooden, Rafer Johnson, Jim Nabors and Stephanie Edwards.

Prager, one of America’s most widely respected radio talk show hosts who has been broadcasting 29 years, is also a Jewish theologian who regularly speaks at both Christian and Jewish institutions. He is also an expert on happiness – a subject on which he has lectured around the world.

Prager was appointed by President Ronald Regan to the U.S. delegation to the Vienna Review Conference on the Helsinki Accords. He holds an honorary doctorate of law from Pepperdine University. In 2006, President George W. Bush appointed Prager to the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.

At this time when coming together as a community is so important, guests will be uplifted as Prager shares his testimony. Local resident, comedian, actor, Disney Channel personality Ron Pearson will serve as master of ceremonies for this special event.

The community is invited to the YMCA of the Foothills Prayer Breakfast. Tickets are $10 per person if purchased prior to the event, $20 at the door.
