Ride with the Mayor on Sunday
Glendale mayor Laura Friedman is hosting Ride with the Mayor, a bike ride through lower Glendale without any hills. The ride begins at City Hall Parcher Plaza on Sunday at 8 a.m. The ride will last about two and a half hours and cover about 10 to 12 miles.

Financial Series Hosted by Status of Women
The Glendale Commission on the Status of Women presents Money Matters: A Financial Literacy Series for Women. On Sept. 22 the workshop is Tax and Investment Planning with speaker Donna Chaney, CPA/PFS, Chaney Financial Services. On Sept. 29, a workshop on estate planning will feature speaker Alexandra Woodward, attorney, L.A. Law Center, LLP
Licensed Certified Public Accountants will be in attendance at all workshops to answer any questions. All workshops are free of charge and do not have to be taken in any sequence.
The workshops take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Glendale Police Department, Large Community Room at 131 N. Isabel St. in Glendale. Free parking is available in the Civic Center Parking Lot (enter on Wilson Avenue between Isabel and Glendale).

Carwash to Benefit CVHS Instrumental Music

The Crescenta Valley High School Instrumental Music department is hosting a carwash on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the CVHS parking lot at the corner of Community and Ramsdell avenues. The cost is $5 which includes coupons to local restaurants.
All donations are tax deductible and proceeds benefit the music department.
