Sept. 26

2900 block of Adams Street in La Crescenta, a suitcase was stolen from a vehicle between Sept. 23-26.

1200 block of Fernside Drive in La Cañada Flintridge, the faceplate for a car radio and a portable radio was stolen from a vehicle between Sept. 23-26.

1200 block of Fernside Drive in la Cañada, a 1994 four door white Honda Accord was stolen overnight.

Sept. 25

3100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta,  a 25-year-old Glendale man was arrested for driving under the influence. The man was found in the parking lot of the Bank of America in a SUV. Deputies discovered that the SUV’s engine had stopped, smoke was coming from the front of the car and coolant appeared to be seeping form the bottom of the vehicle. The driver was allegedly slumped over behind the wheel. The deputy checked on the driver’s welfare by knocking on the window and asking him to wake up. After several minutes of knocking on the car window the driver woke. When the driver opened the door the deputy reported smelling a strong odor of alcohol. The man allegedly slurred his speech. When he stepped from his vehicle he allegedly was swaying while standing up. The incident occurred at 3:43 a.m.

Sept. 23

1300 block of Verdugo Boulevard in La Crescenta, a 28-year-old man was found sitting on the curb next to his vehicle. He appeared to have been under the influence. He was arrested at 5:36 a.m.

Sept. 22

2900 block of Community Avenue in La Crescenta, a cellphone and shoes were stolen from a bag that had been placed on the track and field at Crescenta Valley High School while the owner was at soccer practice. The incident occurred between 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.
