First graders at Village Christian Schools in Sun Valley, along with their teachers Miss Maisano and Mrs. Ayers, participated in Talk Like a Pirate Day. In addition to having their faces painted, the students practiced the “ar” phonogram and went on a treasure hunt. They were also visited by head of schools Tom Konjoyan, who was dressed as a pirate.
