Verdugo Hills Hospital will hold a free community lecture on sports medicine on Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. featuring Dr. Loren Geller (above). The lecture, titled “Common Sports Injuries,” will be held at the hospital’s Council Room located on the fourth floor lobby.

The lecture will discuss types and causes of common injuries, treatment options and injury prevention.

Dr. Loren Geller is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in orthopaedic surgery and orthopaedic sports medicine. A graduate of the USC Keck School of Medicine, Dr. Geller completed his orthopaedic surgery training at McGill University Health Center in Montreal, Quebec. He then completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama. A native of Glendale, Dr. Geller is on the Medical Staff at VHH and currently serves as medical consultant to several local area high school athletic teams.
