We wanted to let you k n o w t h e Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce is a wealth of knowledge. Inside our office at 3131 Foothill Blvd. Ste. D in La Crescenta we have the information you may need. We have fliers and brochures on a multitude of important subjects. In regard to the impending flood issue for the Crescenta Valley, we have these fliers: “The Top 10 Facts Every Consumer Needs To Know About National Flood Insurance,” “ S a n d b a g g i n g : Instructions and Guidelines” and “Coping with a Flood – Before, During and After” just to name a few.

Do you have children or teenagers? We have brochures with facts on the many different illegal drugs that may come their way. This is Red Ribbon Week, so let’s use this week as a way for our community to take a unified stand against drugs and show intolerance for illicit drug use and the consequences to all Americans. Come into the Crescenta Valley Chamber office to get informed about the danger of drugs.

The Crescenta Valley Chamber also has great full color maps of the area, magnetized “things to do” lists (compliments of Verdugo Hills Hospital), coupons for places such as Elle Bella Spa where you can get $10 off an hour massage (or facial) and we have much more. Come and visit us. We have information about many subjects and if we don’t, we know where to find it!

And we sure know where the important people will be on Thursday, Nov. 5. Please join us at a banquet being held at the Angeles National Golf Club at 9401 Foothill Blvd. in Sunland to honor upstanding individuals that continuously help make the Crescenta Valley a better place. Call the Chamber office today (the deadline is today) to reserve your spot at the banquet. Dinner cost is $40 per person. And on Wednesday, Nov. 11 the whole town will be at the Second Annual “Taste in the Foothills” at the Market- Place Shopping Center (Ralphs) enjoying ‘tastes’ from over 17 area restaurants all in one location at 2629 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta. For only $15 you can sample tastes from great restaurants with a portion of the proceeds going to the Veterans War Memorial at Two Strike Park. Tell your friends to come and ‘taste’ with us.
