The Prom Plus Committee will host a holiday boutique on Saturday at St. Luke’s of the Mountains Church located at 2563 Foothill Blvd. on the corner of Rosemont.

Prom Plus supporters can begin shopping at 9 a.m. The event will run until 4 p.m. with local entertainment provided by Crescenta Valley High School and Rosemont musicians. A highlight will be a performance by the CVHS Charismatics from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.

The boutique replaces the annual holiday home tour that was traditionally held the second Saturday in December. According to organizers, the tour was cancelled this year due to too few homes participating, however they assure that the tour will resume next year.

On Saturday, in addition to a variety of gift and holiday items for sale, there will be opportunity drawing tickets for $1 each or $20 for 25 tickets. All funds raised will benefit Prom Plus, the after prom event held for Crescenta Valley High School seniors and their guests. Opportunity drawing winners on Saturday do not need to be present to claim their prize as they will be notified by phone. Local merchants have provided prizes for previous Prom Plus events and have again reached out to Prom Plus executive officer Cindy Charles to provide donations for Saturday.

“Opportunity drawing tickets will be available on the day of the event, so we hope [the community] will stop by and take a look at all the boutique items, food trucks, baked goods and items we have for our opportunity drawings,” said Charles.

Various gourmet food trucks will be stationed on Foothill Boulevard east of Rosemont Avenue to satisfy all of culinary cravings.

“Berolina Bakery will once again be donating their amazing breads and pastries, which will be for sale, in addition to a bake sale with goods donated by our community. We will also have coffee and beverages available,” said Prom Plus director Lisa Yeghiayan, whose daughter Aimee Yeghiayan with Molly Shelton helped start the on-campus Prom Plus Club in 2010.

Yeghiayan expressed her gratitude for all the support the community has provided over the years and is excited to have something for everyone at the Prom Plus Holiday Boutique.
