Suicide Victim Found on Angeles Crest Highway

A 43-year-old Pasadena man was found in his car dead of an apparent suicide on Monday. The man was in a vehicle parked along Angeles Crest Highway at mile marker 27.2.

“It [has been determined] a suicide [from] a gunshot wound,” said Craig Harvey, Los Angeles County Coroner spokesman.

The man’s vehicle was parked in a pull out area along the highway.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Det. Bob Kenney, Homicide Unit, said a motorist that drove into the pull out area saw the man in his car and notified officials.

The gun was found at the scene.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man dead at 2:57 p.m.
