5500 block of Ocean View Boulevard in La Cañada, a catalytic converter was stolen from a truck between Nov. 1-3.
Nov. 2
4400 block of Rockland Place in La Cañada, a catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle that was parked on the street in front of the location overnight.
Oct. 31
4300 block of Bel Aire Drive in La Cañada, the rear driver’s side window was shattered overnight.
4800 block of Burgoyne Lane in La Cañada, a man reported that he walked onto his front porch early in the morning and witnessed a man walking from a resident’s vehicle down the street. He saw another man walking in front of his driveway and a third man inside his neighbor’s vehicle. He immediately called the sheriff but the suspects had left the area. The suspects are all described as male Hispanics dressed similarly in dark clothing and wearing beany-type hats. The witness saw the suspects at 4:25 a.m.
Two other vehicles in the area had been entered and ransacked. One was in the 4800 block of Burgoyne Lane and the other in the 200 block of Kirst Street.
Oct. 30
3000 block of Los Olivos Lane in La Crescenta, a refrigerator, power drill and tool box were stolen from a home being remodeled. The front door had been completely taken off the hinges. A witness reported seeing a male Hispanic, thin build in his 50s, attempt to look into the window of the resident’s garage. A yellow Chevy truck and older rust colored Chevy truck were seen on the street at the time. This happenecd overnight.
Oct. 29
500 block of Highland Avenue in La Cañada, a kitchen range, clothes washer and dryer were stolen from a home being remodeled between Oct. 24-29.
2300 block of Florencita Drive in Montrose, a car spoiler was stolen from a vehicle parked on the street overnight.
Oct. 27
800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, an At&T store manager reported that a man and women entered the cellphone store and walked around looking at a variety of phones. They stopped at one display and the man asked for help “in a rude tone” according to the report. After the manager answered the man’s questions the couple continued to shop, then left the store. The manager soon discovered one of the phones on display had been stolen. He called the phone and allegedly the suspect answered. The manager told him to return the phone. The suspect said he had bought the phone, which the manager said was not true. The suspect allegedly then threatened to have his friends come to the store and “steal you phones.” The suspect terminated the call. The two entered the store at 3:48 p.m.
Oct. 26
2200 block of Florencita Avenue in La Crescenta, someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole loose change overnight.
Arrest made on Waltonia
Crescenta Valley Sheriff deputies arrested two people in the early morning hours of Thursday, Oct. 29 in the 1900 block of Waltonia Drive.
Charles Balderrama, 22, of Sunland was arrested on suspicion of vehicle burglary and possession of burglary tools. Samantha Armstrong, 27, also of Sunland was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.
Deputies responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle, said Sgt. Ray Harley. They stopped the suspects’ vehicle at 3:45 a.m.
“They found a property in the car that was suspicious in nature,” he said.
Deputies found a vehicle that had been burglarized in a nearby neighborhood that appeared to be connected to the suspects. “We are still investigating. Detectives are looking for anyone else that may have had their cars burglarized in the early hours of Nov. 4,” Harley said.
