4000 block of Sunset Avenue in Montrose, an iPod Touch was stolen from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway overnight.

Dec. 23
4400 block of Ocean View Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a 2005 white Chevy Tahoe SUV was stolen overnight.

Dec. 22
5100 block of Haskell Street in La Cañada, two laptop computers, new plumbing fixtures and a box of chocolates were stolen and the rear window of a vehicle that was shattered overnight.

Dec. 21
5200  block of Alta Canyada Drive in La Cañada, a laptop computer and jewelry were stolen from a home. According to the sheriff’s report, a housekeeper reported that when she arrived she discovered that several of the presents that were under the Christmas tree had been unwrapped. Then upstairs she discovered several rooms ransacked and found an uncooked piece of chicken breast still in its package sitting on top of a drawer. In another room she discovered pieces of uncooked bacon on the rug. In the kitchen she noticed the laptop computer was missing and half a pack of uncooked bacon on top of the kitchen counter with a kitchen knife next to it. Deputies discovered pry marks on a window that appeared to be the point of entry. The incident occurred between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

4800 block of Carmel Road in La Cañada, a lawn mower was stolen from the back of a pick-up truck between 10:20 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a bicycle that was left adjacent to the loading docks at the rear of Ralphs market was stolen between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.

500 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a 27-year-old transient was arrested for walking out of Ralphs market with 13 bottles of vodka he did not attempt to pay for. According to the sheriff’s report, an employee at the store noticed the suspect in the liquor aisle taking several bottles of vodka off the shelf. The employee went to get another employee and by the time they returned the suspect was gone. Witnesses reported seeing the man carrying two bags run south on Woodleigh Lane and then west over a wall near the Arco gas station. The suspect allegedly put the bags he was carrying on the ground near the gas station. As deputies investigated they found a resident who reported seeing a man matching the suspects description running through her backyard. When the suspect was found he was sweating and out of breath. He allegedly told deputies he did not steal anything but had been chased by a dog, however after viewing the store’s surveillance video it appeared the suspect had taken the bottles of liquor. He was arrested at 10:48 a.m.
