Ray Sierra, aka “Frenchy,” 86, was a long time Montrose business owner and resident who passed away peacefully in his home on Jan. 18. A veteran of the Korean War and World War II, he was a highly decorated paratrooper in the 101st airborne division serving on Bastogne and D-Day. He was a loving father, grandfather, friend and husband and he and his humor will be greatly missed by the community and his family.

He is survived by his children Jim Sierra, Belinda Sierra and Birdi Sierra; and his grandchildren Samantha Gregory, Clay Sierra, Max Gregory, Olivia Sierra and great-granddaughter Scarlett Gregory.

Funeral services will be held today, Jan. 26, at Holy Redeemer church in Montrose at 10 a.m.
