CRIME BLOTTER

Feb. 6
4200 block of Chula Senda Lane in La Cañada Flintridge, a 46-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and possessing burglary tools after a witness contacted the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station concerning suspicious activity.     The witness reportedly said he saw a small gray SUV-type vehicle parked curbside near his home earlier in the evening. He heard the neighbor’s chain link fence open and went outside to investigate and saw two people at one of his neighbor’s home loading tools into the same SUV vehicle that had been parked near his home earlier. It was difficult to see because it was dark at the time. The witness reportedly knew the neighbor’s home was under construction and the construction employees did not work past 5 p.m. Deputies found the Los Angeles man as he was allegedly running away from the construction site. They found a large toolbox on the construction site that had apparently been pried open, tools were spread throughout the ground. The man allegedly could not tell the deputies who had brought him to the location or for what reason he was there. He was arrested at 9 p.m.
