Recognizing Teenage Red Flags
The CV Armenian Community & Youth Center’s Outreach Committee is hosting a panel discussion, “How to Identify & Respond To Teenage Red Flags” tonight, Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m. at the center.
Panelists include Rev. Father Ghevont Kirazian, Nora Chitilian, M.S., licensed marriage & family therapist and Armineh Alexan Papazian, principal, LAUSD.
Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
The center is located at 2633 Honolulu Ave. in Montrose between La Crescenta & Rosemont avenues.

Wilderness Workday
The City of Glendale Community Services and Parks Dept. is holding its third Saturday of the month wilderness workday at Deukmejian Park. Work includes tree watering and weeding. The workday is from 8 a.m. until noon. Participants should wear sturdy closed toed shoes, protective clothing, sun screen, gloves, a hat and bring water and pruning shears.

Eagle Rock History on Agenda
The Historical Society of the Crescenta Valley will present the History of Eagle Rock at the next meeting on Monday, Feb. 20.
The speaker will be Eric Warren, president of the Eagle Rock Historical Society.
The free presentation will take place at 7 p.m. at the Center For Spiritual Living, 4845 Dunsmore Ave., La Crescenta, at the intersection of Dunsmore and Santa Carlotta.

CVHS FalKon Robotics
Holding Open house
The CVHS FalKon Robotics Team is hosting an open house
on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Members extend an invitation to team sponsors and community members to visit their tech shop on the east side of the CV High School campus near Prospect Avenue. The team’s robot will be competing in the first robotics competition in just under a month. Visitors will see the progress made in the past six weeks, from designing to testing, and how the group has grown to be the engineers of the future.

Town Hall Meeting Planned
The Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy is holding a town hall meeting on Monday, Feb. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Rosemont Middle School Cafeteria. The meeting is to gather community input on its desires for the 7.75 acres of land at the top of Rosemont Avenue. The conservancy is working with the community to establish the land as a permanent wilderness preserve and prevent it from ever being developed.
