3100 block of Brookhill Street in La Crescenta, stereo headphones and a Bluetooth device were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

4600 block of La Crescenta Avenue in La Crescenta, the rear driver’s side window was smashed on a vehicle between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

4600 block of La Crescenta Avenue in La Crescenta, the rear driver’s side and middle driver’s side windows were smashed on a van between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

March 3
3000 block of Santa Carlotta Avenue in La Crescenta, the vehicle registration and proof of insurance were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

600 block of Starlight Crest in La Cañada Flintridge, a resident reported that someone attempted to enter the resident’s locked garage. Pry marks were found on the door of the vehicle.

March 2
800 block of Flintridge Avenue in La Cañada, a resident reported hearing his motion activated home alarm on the balcony of his home. He looked out the window but did not see anything. About 20 minutes later the alarm was activated again. This time the man armed himself with his legally registered handgun and stepped onto his balcony.  He reportedly saw a man standing in his back yard, described as Hispanic, about 20-years-old, 5’6” tall and weighing 140 pounds with short brown hair. He was wearing a dark gray sweatshirt and blue jeans. The resident yelled at the suspect, pointed his gun into the air and fired. The suspect fled. Deputies reminded the resident of the danger of firing a gun into the air. The incident occurred at 2:10 a.m.

1900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a car stereo, pair of binoculars and two jackets were stolen from a locked vehicle while it was parked in the Crescenta Cañada YMCA parking lot.

1400 Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a decorative fire hydrant was stolen from the front of the La Cañada Pet Clinic between Feb. 29 and March 1.
