The Crescenta Valley Weekly is partnering with the Arroyos & Foothills Conservancy, a local environmental nonprofit, on a project to preserve about eight acres of land at the top of Rosemont Avenue known as the “Rosemont Preserve.” Preserving the land would prevent it from ever being developed, secure habitat for the wildlife that roam the foothills and provide the first access from within La Crescenta to any of the wilderness areas that surround the area.

The public is welcome to hike the Rosemont Preserve at two docent guided tours on Sunday. The first tour is at noon, the second at 2 p.m. Park at Two Strike Park.
