Fremont sixth graders gathered their warm clothes and stuffed animals and boarded a bus for Camp Highland nestled in the mountains of San Bernardino County. The annual week long sixth grade trek has been a tradition for Fremont students for more than 15 years.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for the students to bond in team building activities,” said Principal Christin Walley, “to be able to experience nature and the wonderful outdoor camping experience.”
As parents said their good byes, the buses were loaded up with sixth graders and off to Camp Highland they went.
During the week the students will still attend classes on nature, farm animals and a history of the area offered by the camp.
