April 2
2600 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Crescenta, a man and woman entered Rite Aide and stole several bottles of perfume. A store employee reported viewing a surveillance video tape and witnessed the women enter the store first and began looking around as if for security. The man then entered a short time later and walked toward the toiletries aisle and began taking cologne bottles. He placed them in the hood of his jacket, under his shirt and in his pants pockets. At one point the man and woman met each other in another aisle and apparently communicated with each other. They then walked out of the store without attempting to pay. The incident occurred on March 25, but reported on April 2.

4700 block of Hampton Road in La Cañada, a rear window was shattered and two gun cases and two guns were stolen from a vehicle that was parked on the street in front of the location overnight.

500 block of Houseman Street in La Cañada, the driver’s side window was shattered and a briefcase was stolen from a vehicle overnight.

900 block of Crown Avenue in La Cañada, the front passenger side window was shattered and a purse was stolen from a vehicle overnight.


March 30
900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a purse was stolen from a shopping cart at Sprouts market between 1:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.


March 29
3100 block of Encinal Avenue in La Crescenta, jewelry was stolen and several rooms were ransacked in a home between 7:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

1300 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, several plants were stolen from planters at the back entrance of Home and Garden overnight.

March 28
3000 block of Encinal Avenue in La Crescenta, a 41-year-old La Crescenta man was arrested on possession of controlled substance. Deputies responded to calls concerning a man sitting in a white van for about two hours. They found the man in his car, leaning against his steering wheel, passed out. Deputies got his attention and after an investigation they found medication that the man did not have a prescription in his name. The incident occurred 6:55 p.m.

March 27
Encinal and Ramsdell avenues in La Crescenta, a high school student had parked his vehicle at the location and went to school. When he returned he found several small dents and two large dents in the body of the vehicle. There were also shoe prints on the hood as if someone had jumped on the car. The incident occurred between 7:50 a.m. and 1 p.m.
