The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close up to three lanes of the westbound SR-134 from Riverside Drive to Pacific from Thursday, April 19 to Sunday, April 22 to repair sections of SR-134 and I-5 that were damaged during a tanker fire near the interchange on April 7. Over 900-feet of metal beam guardrail and asphalt on the right shoulder, bridge railing, damaged pavement in freeway lanes, and the irrigation and vegetation near where the fire occurred will need to be repaired.
Westbound motorists will be able to access a westbound slip ramp on the SR-134 without having to leave the freeway.
The closures will occur as follows:
Thursday, April 19
10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Friday, April 20
10 p.m. to 6 a.m. (into Saturday morning)
Sunday, April 22
12 a.m. to 8 a.m.

CA Rasmussen, Inc. of Valencia, Calif. is the contractor on this emergency repair project. This project is expected to finish May 2012.
