Once again Dodger Stadium is the scene of a beating. This time the apparent instigating circumstance was a minor traffic collision on Sunday after the Dodger game.
“There was a minor traffic collision as the [suspect and victim’s vehicle] were coming out of the parking lot,” said Los Angeles Police spokeswoman Officer Wendy Reyes. “This initiated a dispute and physical altercation.”
Arthur Morales, 30, of Monrovia allegedly got out of his vehicle and began beating the 34-year-old victim. When the suspect was attacking the victim, Morales’ friends, Alejandro Briceno, 29, of La Crescenta, Alan Trujuillo, 29, and Ulisis Briceno, 26, both of Los Angeles, joined in the beating.
“[Morales allegedly] punched and kicked the victim, then at one point the three other suspects came over and [held] the victim down while [Morales] kicked the victim in the face,” Reyes said.
There were several witnesses to the beating; security and LAPD officers were flagged down to help.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
“His face was swollen and legs were bruised and scraped,” Reyes said.
A pregnant woman was in the victim’s vehicle at the time of the incident. She was not injured but transported to the hospital for observation.
