Kiwanis Honors Terrific Kids

Those honored from La Cañada Elementary by the Kiwanis of La Cañada included (from left) Thomas Huh, Haig Manoukian, Madeline Reilly, Nicole Alexander, Saira Singh, and Alan Kim.

At the recommendation of their teachers, 11 sixth graders from La Cañada Elementary and Palm Crest schools were selected to be honored with their parents by the Kiwanis Club of La Cañada. Each of the students was selected because they display excellence in not only academics, but in their extracurricular and community activities.

Students brought their parents for this special luncheon held at Van de Kamp Hall in Descanso Gardens. A special program followed the presentation of honors by Tyler Weight, president of the Crescenta-Cañada Family YMCA.
