East Curb Line of Pennsylvania Avenue under the Foothill (210) Freeway overpass in La Crescenta. Tools and equipment were stolen and locks were damaged on a vehicle that was parked at the location overnight.

5100 block of Cloud Avenue in La Crescenta, deputies responded to Verdugo Hills Hospital regarding a possible assault victim. When they arrived, they found a male juvenile who reported that he had been assaulted as he walked out of his home. According to the sheriff’s report, the victim walked down the front stairs of his home and heard what sounded like leaves being stepped on. He turned toward the noise and saw two boys in their teens. The first suspect was holding a large pipe wrench that was raised above his head. The first suspect struck the victim in his right leg with the wrench, which caused him to fall to the ground. The first suspect continued to hit the victim with the wrench, striking him numerous times. The victim reported that the attack appeared to have lasted about two minutes, and then both suspects fled southbound on Cloud Avenue and out of view.
The second suspect did not attack the victim.
The young man reportedly did not know who the suspects were or why they would have attacked him. The victim was taken to the Verdugo Hills Hospital the day after the attack. Suspect one is described as a male white, 16 to 17 years old, 5’7” to 5’8” tall, weighing 140 pounds. He had dark hair in a buzz cut and was wearing a white T-shirt, black basketball shorts and white tube socks. Suspect two was described as 16 to 17 years old, 5’7” to 5’8” tall, weighing about 130 pounds. He was wearing Ray Ban sunglasses, a black graphic T-shirt, black cotton hoodie, black “Dickie” shorts and white tube socks.
The victim was treated at the hospital and released. The original incident occurred on May 24 at 5:30 p.m.
2200 block of Waltonia Drive in Montrose, a woman reported that she placed her laptop computer on top of her vehicle and ran into her home to get other items. When she returned the laptop was gone. The incident occurred on May 23 at 6:30 a.m.

4300 block of Rosemont Avenue in La Crescenta, a vehicle was damaged by someone who had thrown eggs at the car between May 13-24.

2900 block of Alabama Street in La Crescenta, a man’s watch was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.
3000 block of Alabama Street in La Crescenta, a purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.

2400 block of Montrose Avenue in La Crescenta, an iPad, guitar pedal and backpack were stolen from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church parking lot between 7:30 a.m. and 8: 30 a.m.
May 22
1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, an employee of the United Artist movie theater reported a fire extinguisher was stolen from near the northwest emergency exit. A witness reported seeing a male, Hispanic in his teens to early 20s walk out the emergency exit of the building. He placed the fire extinguisher on the ground just outside the door and then returned into the theater. A few minutes later a four-door sedan drove up and parked in front of the exit. The suspect came out of the theater emergency door, took possession of the fire extinguisher and got into the vehicle. The car drove away.
The incident occurred between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard in La Cañada, several seats were damaged inside an auditorium in the United Artist movie theater. An incident of a stolen fire extinguisher may be related to the incident. The damage occurred between 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
4500 block of Rosemont Avenue in La Crescenta, several books, an iPod and cash were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight.
