EMERGENCY BLOOD DRIVE AT CV SHERIFF’S STATION

ON TUESDAY, JULY 17  FROM 9 A.M TO 3:30 P.M., AN EMERGENCY BLOOD DRIVE WILL BE HELD AT THE CRESCENTA VALLEY STATION’S FRONT PARKING LOT, 4554 BRIGGS AVE. THE HUNTINGTON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL BLOOD MOBILE WILL BE THERE.

EVERY TWO SECONDS SOMEONE NEEDS BLOOD. FORTY PERCENT OF THE BLOOD NEEDED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA PATIENTS COMES FROM OTHER PARTS OF THE COUNTRY. DURING SUMMER TIME WHEN CHILDREN ARE OUT OF SCHOOL, THERE IS A GREATER BLOOD SORTAGE. IN THE EVENT OF A DISASTER, THE NEED FOR BLOOD WILL INEVITABLY BE A FACTOR IN SAVING LIVES.

BEFORE DONATING, REMEMBER TO “PUMP UP YOUR IRON” BY EATING PLENTY OF IRON-RICH FOODS AND DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS.
