‘Last Appeal’ at First Baptist
The First Baptist Church at La Crescenta, Christ Armenian Church and International Christian Family Network, Inc. are sponsoring a play being performed at First Baptist Church this weekend.

“The Last Appeal” presents the powerful story of Titus Freeman, who finds himself sentenced to death row after a fatal altercation with a local store owner Ivan Parks, the husband of famous pianist Trisha Parks. Suddenly, Titus is placed with inmates who are waiting for their own execution date. He resides with men such as Kurtis, a hostile “skin head” who is always looking for a fight . . . Clayton, a man of faith who role models true change to other inmates . . . Doc, an older gentleman who has fallen victim to post traumatic stress … Randy, a happily married atheist who happens to be the only innocent man on death row.

These five characters convey an amazing story of struggle, forgiveness, redemption and faith. The story is gripping. The unexpected humor is hilarious.

Admission is free.

Performances are Friday, July 20 at 8 p.m., Saturday, July 21 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 22 at 6 p.m.
