Cornell University’s Jean Van Buren of La Cañada has been placed on the dean’s list of the College of Arts and Sciences for Excellence in Scholarship for the spring 2012 semester.
The College of Arts and Sciences is Cornell University’s largest undergraduate college.

The following students have graduated from Loyola Marymount University, joining more than 1,300 of their classmates in LMU’s 2012 centennial graduating class:
Kristine Cato and Jesse Sherrod of La Cañada each earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

Lindsay Laddaran of Tujunga was named to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester at Washington University in St. Louis. Laddaran is enrolled in the university’s School of Engineering and Applied Science.
To qualify for the dean’s list in the School of Engineering & Applied Science, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 or above and be enrolled in at least 12 graded units.

Villanova University named the following students from La Cañada to the dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester:
Alexis Budzynis studying sociology in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Samara Cahill is studying communication in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Brittany Ek is studying economics in the Villanova School of Business.
Lauren Kambe is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the College of Nursing
Villanova University dean’s list recipients are honored by their college’s respective dean. To qualify, one must be a matriculated full-time student and earn a semester grade point average of at least 3.5. The College of Nursing requires students to earn at least a 3.5 for the academic year.
