Quarterback Club Begins New Year
The Glendale YMCA Quarterback Club begins its new year on Sept. 11 with an update from local coaches, and a special presentation from Kevin Danni, a survivor of the Twin Towers 9/11 disaster.
Luncheon gathering starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Glendale Elks Club, 120 E. Colorado, Glendale. Membership is $50, lunch is $17 each week. Call (818) 247-0006 for further information.


Time to Lace Up for Foothills 5K Run/Walk
The annual Running the Foothills 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run, hosted by the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Crescenta Valley Drug & Alcohol Prevention Coalition, takes place on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Two Strike Park in La Crescenta. The event begins at 7 a.m. Funds raised will help support local elementary schools and the Rosemont After School sports program.
The fee is $20, T-shirt included. Kids Fun Run is free and T-shirt is not included. T-shirt costs $10.

CSA Holding Fall Baseball/Softball Signups
CSA offers a great opportunity for new and returning players to develop their baseball or softball skills in its fallball program. Online signups for CSA are now open at playcsaball.com and are open to players from all leagues, areas and skill levels. Walk-up signups and tryouts are Saturday, Sept. 8. Softball will be at CV Park and baseball will be at Two Strike Park. Download the flyer from playcsaball.com for details on the tryouts and sign up times. Games will take place on Saturdays from Sept. 15 through Nov. 17.
