Sept. 8
1800 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge, a 26-year-old La Cañada man was arrested after he allegedly bit a piece of his brother’s ear off. The man reportedly told deputies that he and his brother got into an argument over a personal family issue. There was some shoving that ended in the man grabbing his brother, pulling him close and biting part of his ear off. Paramedics responded to victim, and the La Cañada man was arrested for mayhem at 3:47 p.m.


Sept. 7
500 block of Hill Street in La Cañada, jewelry was stolen and several rooms were ransacked at a home. It appeared someone had gained entrance into the home by removing a window screen and opening a window between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.

1900 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a man reported that he had parked his vehicle on the street and went in to the Crescenta Cañada YMCA to work out. When he returned he found his wallet that he had left in the vehicle open on the passenger seat. Credit cards were missing. There appeared to be pry marks on the exterior of the passenger door. The incident occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.


Sept. 5
2200 block of Florencita Avenue in Montrose, an iPad and iPhone were stolen from the technicians’ meeting room inside the AT&T service building. The items were unused and in the original packaging when they were stacked on a table next to the copy machine. An employee stated the meeting room is normally left unsecured to allow service technicians to use that area. There were no signs of forced entry

2100 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, the front glass window of Marsh Village Pharmacy was shattered. Numerous items were scattered throughout the store. Deputies responded to the store’s alarm activation at 12:45 a.m.


Sept. 4
4100 block of Rosemont Avenue in Montrose, a woman reported that several rooms in her home had been ransacked and an iPad, laptop computer and digital camera were stolen between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
