Oktoberfest T-Shirts and Hats are In – Get yours Today!

There is a lot new going on this year at Oktoberfest. One of our exciting new additions is our Oktoberfest T-shirts and hats with our brand new logo. This year the Montrose-Verdugo City Chamber of Commerce wanted to create something that reflected not only our town, but also the spirit of Oktoberfest. Oktobertfest has been in Montrose for 35 years and is a family tradition. We are one of the few Oktoberfest celebrations in Southern California and one of the largest. This is an event that the chamber puts on not only for the community but also to bring people into the area that are not familiar with the wonderful town of Montrose. We wanted our logo to inspire people from all over to come and experience our hometown feeling. That is why we chose a local Montrose company called Enigma Designs to design it.  They are a full service promotional product company that specializes in screen-printing, embroidery and all types of promotional gear. Enigma can order your merchandise, brand your merchandise and deliver it to any locals customers for free. Don’t worry if you don’t have any artwork – their award winning art department can design it for you! They are first class. Remember they designed our logo. The chamber always likes to support local business and you should, too. Supporting local businesses helps everyone. Like dunk tanks? This year for the first time we will have a dunk tank so you can dunk a firefighter! What kid doesn’t love that?

Oktoberfest just wouldn’t be the same without the Chicken Dance. Each one of our three stages will be having contests throughout the day. Check our website for times and locations. We also have some new rides. Curious to know what new rides we have? You will have to stop by the ride area to see. We also have all of the activities you have come to know and love like our hot dog eating contest, best dressed dog contest, stein holding contest, Lil Mis and Master contest, the German dancers and the German American Brass Band. Oktoberfest kickoff mixer is Wednesday, Oct. 3 at Citibank in Montrose. It is our Oktoberfest mixer. There will be bratwurst, Samuel Adams® Octoberfest beer and traditional Bavarian music. There will be a special mixer prize for the best Oktoberfest outfit. So come in your best lederhosen or Bavarian attire and join the party!
