Ever wonder why Foothill Boulevard looks so clean compared to many other thoroughfares throughout Los Angeles County? It all comes down to community awareness and activism.
On Saturday, about 150 people picked up brooms and racks and began to clean up and down Foothill Boulevard.
This was the 19th year of the foothill community Clean Up, sponsored by Neighborhood Services, the Committee for a Clean and Beautiful Glendale and the Crescenta Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The volunteers cleaned from 9 a.m. to noon. The result was a much more Clean and Beautiful Foothill Boulevard.
