Obama Wins Second Term, Feinstein Wins Senate

Barack Obama has won a second term as President of the United States. In Los Angeles County as of 10: p.m. President Obama had 54.5% of the vote, Republican challenger Mitt Romney got 43.5% of the vote, Thomas Hoefling, American Independent Party, recieved 0.3% of the vote, Jill Stein, Green Party, 0.5%, Gary Johnson, Libertarian Party, recieved 0.9% and  Roseanne Barr, Peace and Freedom Party, received 0.4%.

“We are an American family and we rise and fall together as one nation, and as one people,” Obama said in his acceptance speech tonight.

He spoke of unity and working together to move the country forward.

Election results as of 10:57p.m.:

U.S. Senate Race: Senator Dianne Feinstein (D) has been declared the winner with 58.6% of the vote and Elizabeth Emken (R) with 41.4%. with 32.5% of precincts reporting.

U.S. House of Representatives: Congressman Adam Schiff (D) has 70.8% of the vote and Phil Jennerjahn (R) with 29.2%. with less then 1% of precincts reporting.

State Senate District 25: Senator Carol Liu (D) 55.9% and Gilbert Gonzales (R) 44.1% with 2.6% of precincts reporting

State Assembly District 43: Assemblymember Mike Gatto (D)53.1% and Greg Krikorian (R) 46.9%  With less then 1% of precincts reporting
