Students at Crescenta Cañada Nursery School recently enjoyed the chance to spend a special day celebrating their grandparents.

Grandparents’ Day at CCNS has become a tradition when the young and the young-at-heart get to experience a day in the life of a Busy Bear (4-year-old classroom) or a Darling Duckling (3-year-old classroom). Young Bears and Ducks alike had an opportunity to paint, dance, draw and play with their grandparents.

The highlight for many of the students was showing their grandparents how well they cut and write in the Bear classroom or do the Hokey-Pokey in the Duck class. The day included typical activities including open play, story time, prayer time and snack time as well as special art projects and dress-up.

The Crescenta-Cañada Cooperative Nursery School has been teaching and caring for preschool aged children for over 50 years. CCNS is Christian based and is non-denominational.

CCNS is located at 1700 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada.
