Bill also leaves his many close friends and the hundreds of other people he influenced in his life as an employer, leader and friend.
After marrying the love of his life Barbara, Bill joined the Air Force reserves and was deployed to Casablanca, Africa. Upon his return home, Bill decided to ply his trade as a plumber in Los Angeles. He soon became employed by L.Z. Brown and built a reputation as one of the premiere craftsman for the plumbing trade in Southern California.
In 1975, Bill and his dear friend Neal Muir opened their own company based out of Glendale – Muir-Chase Plumbing. After 37 years, this company continues to operate as strongly as ever with a reputation second to none, forged by the influence of Bill and his partner Neal.
After retirement, Bill took to his passions: golf, family and his faith. Bill was an avid golfer and spent many of his best days playing golf at Chevy Chase Country Club and other courses around the world with his family and friends. Bill loved his family more than anything and was a fixture at all family gatherings and was an everlasting influence at the major points in his children and grandchildren’s lives. Bill’s faith in God helped define his character.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Friday Nov. 30 at 11 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, located at 1211 N. Brand Blvd. in Glendale. It will be here that his family, and the countless people he has touched, will come to celebrate the life of a man that has left a truly amazing legacy.
