The 5 freeway has been closed in both directions at the 134 freeway in Glendale. California Highway Patrol has said they are diverting traffic off the 5 onto the 134. The closure was due to a big rig accident that occurred early this morning.  Crews are working to repair the damage and CHP has no estimate as to when the freeway will be opened.

Drivers are reminded to drive carefully and if they must on the road to give themselves extra time to arrive at their destination.
